Gold in Sudan: Blessing or Curse?

Sudans gold production has increased by more than 1,200% in a decade, according to a report by the US Geological Survey, from 7 tons in 2008 to more than 90 tons in 2017. The Sudanese Minister of Minerals confirmed that gold production in the first half of 2018 exceeded 63 tons, and the state is counting on
